To schedule an appointment with Dr. Lao, we need you to complete a form with your personal details or those of your child.

We offer various payment methods for your consultation.

The purpose of the initial consultation is for Dr. Lao to get to know the patient. This appointment can be held in person or online via our Jitsi video call system. We recommend that you bring or send any previous test results and a list of medications, as this will help tailor the consultation to your specific needs.

During this consultation, you can ask any questions you have, and Dr. Lao will explain everything about these studies. After the appointment, you will receive an estimate for the study. If you decide to proceed, the payment for the study will be processed using the same method as for the consultation.

The sample can be collected at our clinic in Barcelona. If you do not reside here, the collection kit can be sent to your country. The sample is taken from saliva or blood. Once the sample is collected and received at our center, it is sent to the laboratory for processing.

Approximately 8–10 weeks after the sample is collected, your results will be ready. We will contact you to schedule a results delivery consultation, which can be conducted online or in person.

During this consultation, Dr. Lao will explain the results of your genetic study and, based on them, propose an action plan to enhance your quality of life by reinforcing your strengths and addressing any weaknesses.

As agreed during the results delivery consultation, Dr. Lao will schedule a follow-up appointment (typically after 3 months) to review the progress of the action plan and address any questions you may have.

In addition, a nutritional plan will be developed based on the results of your genetic study in collaboration with our nutritionist. An initial consultation—either online or in person—will be held to understand your dietary habits, after which we will begin working on your personalized nutritional plan and provide you with the necessary guidelines.
